The Condor Mountain Pass Surveyor Knife CTK2018-6.25C is a cool outdoor knife, designed by so-called ‘surveyors’. People who map mountains. For forestry, infrastructure projects or other purposes. They move in inhospitable terrain and therefore need a good knife they can rely on.
That is why stainless steel was used to make sure little maintenance is needed in the field. The spine of the blade is enhanced with a second cutting edge which you can use to scrape with. Think of scraping wood to make tinder, or to remove tree bark. As such you make sure your primary edge is sharp for the real cutting tasks.
The blade is made from 440C steel. This is a stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well. The handle is made from micarta, A fine material made from textile and synthetic resin. It comes with a solid leather sheath, with a belt loop.
