SIERRA 22CAL 55GR SPT BLITZ VARMINTER
This bullet is perfect for rifles chambered in 222 Remington or 223 Remington. It delivers excellent terminal performance at typical velocities for these cartridges and, in many cases, offers accuracy comparable to MatchKings. Additionally, the Sierra Spitzer point ensures superior downrange performance. With a design focused on complete frangibility upon impact, this lightly jacketed bullet works best in barrels with a 1×12″ or 1×14″ twist rate. However, using it in faster twist rate barrels may cause it to disintegrate mid-air.
Designed for velocities under 3600 FPS, this thin-jacketed, highly explosive bullet is ideal for 22 caliber centerfire handguns chambered for medium-to-large capacity cartridges. It offers reliable expansion at normal ranges with Sierra match-grade accuracy, making it a great choice for all but the smallest 22 centerfire cartridges. Furthermore, the Sierra Spitzer shape provides a high ballistic coefficient for a flat trajectory, better energy retention, and less sensitivity to wind. As a result, the Blitz is a preferred choice for varmint hunting, especially for small animals.
